5th of December

http://gamingintelligencegroup.com/ seems to have a idea that gamingstocks should be a good investment, i must say that i dont think they should call them self intelligent..

France will block payments within 3 months, the decree is here:
http://ec.europa.eu/enterprise/tris/pisa/app/search/index.cfm?fuseaction=pisa_notif_overview&iYear=2007&inum=658&lang=FR&sNLang=FR

Germany will block all gambling traffic with ISP and ban banks from financial transactions.

Norway will ban payments during Q1 and that will be implemnented within 3 months after the law is in place.

Other countries will follow suit, Italy has a licence and will increase their block on non licenced gaming like www2.unibet.com or whatever URL that is used.

The goverments will try to take a fight and by stoppinng payments and block access to sites the gamingcompanys will be badly hurt. If they succeed to block 80% of the traffic during a year, most of the companys will go broke within 6-9 months or reduce staff and marketing to a level that will take time to rebuild.

4th December

So what is happening today!
Portlandbet.com is for sale by Marginbet, lets face it starting a sportsbook is not easy anymore. The CPA is usually around $250 and the quality is not what it used to be with loads of bonusabusers jumping around. Listed in September and Bankrupt in December must be a new record!

Bodog hopes to get their bodog.com domain and starts arguing that the law in nevada not should be valid since they not are residing in Nevada, it is fun that a company that claims that all bets taken by them (no matter where they are placed) are taken in Costa Rica has a completely different opimion here on legal issues.

Betbull is keeping on loosing money, a venture between them and Bwin is on its way (same founders behind both companys) wich was no surprise. Spain is not a easy market and it will be very interesting to follow this story.

There is a lot of rumours regarding fixed UEFA games in Eastern Europe, this is very bad for the industry and the biggest reason to the accelaration is companys like Betfair. Their product makes it to easy to bet that a team will loose instead of win.

Bwins shares has gone up the last few days, i find that very surprising considering the new laws that i suspect will close down business in Germany for Bwin and others like Unibet, Expekt etc.
